Damoh Administration Fully Prepared for NEET Exam: Collector and SP Inspect Three Centers for 1147 Candidates
Damoh, Bureau Report: In preparation for the upcoming NEET examination, the Damoh district administration has finalized all logistical and security arrangements. On Saturday, District Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav and Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Kaladgi conducted a comprehensive joint inspection of the designated examination centers. This year, Damoh will host a total of 1147 NEET aspirants across three carefully selected centers within the city.
Facilities for Students and Accompanying Parents
Understanding the stress associated with the highly competitive NEET exam, the administration has prioritized the comfort of both the candidates and their families. Collector Yadav announced several key provisions implemented at all three venues:
- Parent Waiting Areas: Dedicated, shaded tents are being erected for parents and guardians. Paid tea and refreshment stalls will be available within these designated waiting zones.
- Continuous Water Supply: Recognizing the summer heat, continuous, free drinking water will be provided inside the exam halls for all candidates.
- Entry Timings: Students can begin entering the examination centers starting at 11:30 AM. The final cutoff for entry is strictly set at 1:30 PM.
- Extended Duration: The Collector highlighted that the examination duration has been officially increased by 15 minutes this year, ensuring students have ample time to complete their papers without unnecessary panic.Strict Security and Surveillance Measures
Ensuring a fair, transparent, and peaceful examination process is the administration's top priority. SP Anand Kaladgi confirmed that the joint inspection, which included City Superintendents, Center Superintendents, and City Coordinators, found the preparations highly satisfactory.
To maintain strict vigilance, comprehensive security arrangements have been deployed at every center. This includes the strategic installation of CCTV cameras across all examination halls and corridors. Furthermore, to prevent any disruptions during the test, backup power generators have been installed at all locations. Every classroom has been systematically numbered, and a centralized control room has been established to efficiently manage the entire operation. SP Kaladgi assured the public that adequate police forces will be deployed well in advance on the day of the exam, working in close coordination with the district administration to guarantee a smooth and secure environment for all candidates.
